Therapy Services

Whether you visit me for a one-off appointment or for ongoing therapy to work toward the goals you have for your child, I will work with you to help you to promote your child's development, advocate for them, learn and share ideas together.

Getting to know you

I would like to get to know you and your child so that I can use your child's strengths to help me create a fun, individualized, motor program aimed at achieving the functional goals you have identified.
I won't dictate to you the number of sessions or how often you need to see me. After we have our first session you can tell me how often you would like your child to be seen.
I can help you to understand your NDIS funding and how to ensure you get what you need to out of physiotherapy without over spending in your therapeutic budget.

Therapy Options

I am a mobile service that will come and see your in your child in their own environments.

About Me

Cherry Kids Physiotherapy is owned and run by myself, Senior Physiotherapist, Ceri Hitchcock, APAM. I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and have worked as a paediatric physiotherapist since 2010 after the birth of my first child.
My clinical experiences have been in both hospital and community public health where I became skilled in many different assessments and treatment methods. I have, and continue to, work with premature babies, children with torticollis and plagiocephaly (flat spots), children with developmental delays. I enjoy helping families to understand their child within their diagnosis and the ongoing therapeutic needs of a diagnosis such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy and a number of other genetic and neurological conditions.

I am confident working with children of all ages, from premature babies who haven’t reached their term dates yet, through to school aged children. I have worked with many different professionals such as Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Psychologists and Paediatricians who have imparted a number of skills on me in regards to working with children with developmental difficulties. I am well linked within the community and know how to support you to make the links and connections you need to give your child the best opportunities to reach their potential.

I have started my business as I am very passionate about early intervention, helping families to understand how improving their child’s motor skills can promote their overall development and empowering parents to support their children in achieving their goals. I am aware of how difficult it can be for some families to navigate the community and find a skilled Paediatric physiotherapist who can assist them to get the right help at the right time. That is why I want to share my skills with you.
